When onchain gameplay ships, in-game KEEP becomes Gems 1:1 and KEEP becomes a wallet-only token that KEEP mining pays straight to your wallet. Nothing changes today, every balance and item you own carries over, and you will have time to withdraw first if you want SPL KEEP in your wallet.

Onchain gameplay is in development on devnet; dates will be announced.

The short version

TodayAfter the update
In-game KEEP balanceBecomes Gems at 1:1

Speed-ups, heroes, extra Mines, buffs and shop items cost KEEPThey cost Gems — one tap, no wallet prompt
The Gold Forge takes SHARDS and pays in-game KEEPThe Gold Forge takes Forge Ingots; KEEP mining pays KEEP to your wallet
KEEP deposits and withdrawalsEnd after an announced date; KEEP lives in your wallet
HUD shows SHARDS and KEEPHUD shows SHARDS and GEMS; KEEP moves to the wallet row
The item market trades in SOLThe SOL item market stays, and a planned KEEP market for Land Deed holders trades resources and items in KEEP (90% to the seller, 10% burned); NFTs keep trading in SOL. See Market and trading

Step by step

  1. Before the date: choose. Withdrawals stay open until the announced date. If you want real SPL KEEP in your own wallet, withdraw it before then under the normal rules on Deposits, withdrawals and 2FA. If you would rather spend it in the game, do nothing.
  2. At the update: KEEP becomes Gems. Every in-game KEEP balance becomes Gems 1:1. That includes claimable Gold Forge payouts and KEEP waiting in reward mail. There is no claim to make and no SOL to pay.
  3. The Gold Forge changes hands smoothly. The last day of the old Gold Forge is planned to line up with the first day of KEEP mining, so contributing players see no gap.
  4. From then on: KEEP mining. Your share of each day's pool is claimed straight to your wallet. See KEEP mining.

What carries over

  • Everything you own. Bases, Land Deeds, buildings, SHARDS, troops, heroes, gear and items all stay exactly as they are.
  • Your KEEP's value in the game, as Gems at 1:1.
  • Your settings. If you switched off KEEP spend confirmations, the same preference applies to Gems.

What does not carry over

  • Devnet economics can change during the playtest. The Gold Forge's devnet rates are replaced by KEEP mining, and there is no compensation for the difference. Devnet SOL, KEEP, Gems and items have no monetary value.
  • Shop items bought with Gems are bound to your account and cannot be listed on the market. See Market and trading.

The playtest welcome gift

New players on devnet currently receive a KEEP welcome gift in their mail. With the update the gift is given as Gems instead. It is a devnet testing aid, not a mainnet feature.

On Android

  • Apps that are already installed keep working. The in-app updater offers the new version when it is ready.
  • Make sure you can update: see Android app and downloads.

Questions

Do I have to do anything? No. If you are happy to keep your in-game KEEP as Gems, it converts on its own. Only withdraw if you want SPL KEEP in your wallet.

Can I turn Gems back into KEEP later? No. Gems are one-way, and they cannot be withdrawn, listed or traded.

Will my raids, bases or campaign progress change? No. Raids stay instant, KEEP is still never lootable, and your campaign stars stay where they are.

Can I still sell items to other players? Yes. Today's SOL item market keeps running, and the planned KEEP market adds trading for realm resources, kits, Crystal Fragments, Forge Ingots and items from your wallet, for players who own a Land Deed. NFTs keep trading in SOL. Items bought with Gems can never be sold. See Market and trading.

Where will the date be announced? In the game, on the changelog and in the community channels before it happens.
