Quests, referrals, mail, chat and clans
How daily and weekly quests pay Shards, how referral codes work, what in-game mail and global chat do, and where clans and leagues stand in the playtest.
This page covers the parts of Pixel Kingdom Wars that sit around your base: the Quest Board that pays Shards for playing, the referral codes that bring friends into the playtest, the in-game inbox, global chat, and the current state of clans, profiles and leagues. The game runs on Solana devnet, which means any SOL or KEEP you see is test-net money with no real value. Clans are the one exception on this page: they are described here because the screen exists, but they are not open yet.
Quick facts
- Quests pay Shards, never KEEP. All 50 daily quests are available every UTC day, plus one weekly quest.
- Daily quests pay 10–30 Shards each; claim any 3 in a day for a +25 Shard bonus; the weekly quest pays 100 Shards.
- You do not need to own land to do quests.
- Your referral code looks like
KEEP-XXXXX. It admits up to 25 friends to the playtest, and each qualified, active friend adds +0.5% to your mining quota. - Mail comes only from the game or admins; reward mail expires 30 days after delivery.
- Global chat: everyone in the playtest can read; posting needs a username and a Land Deed. Messages disappear after 7 days.
- Clans are coming after playtest. You cannot found or join one right now.
Quest Board

The Quest Board has two scopes: daily and weekly. Days and weeks run on UTC, so the board resets at 00:00 UTC, not your local midnight.
- Daily: all 50 daily templates are live every day. There is no rotation and no slot limit; you can complete as many as you like.
- Weekly: one weekly quest is live per ISO week, picked from a pool of five. A new pick is made each Monday (UTC), and every weekly quest pays 100 Shards.
Progress is tracked automatically as you play. When a quest's target is reached it is marked complete, and you tap CLAIM to receive the reward. You cannot claim a quest that is not complete, and you cannot claim the same quest twice in a period.
Why Shards and not KEEP: quest rewards are deliberately in-game Shards (minted by the game, not withdrawable), so the board rewards play without turning into a faucet for the tradeable token.
Daily bonus
The board says CLAIM ANY 3 · BONUS +25. The claim that brings your claimed-daily count to 3 for the day also pays a one-time +25 Shard bonus. It is paid once per UTC day; claiming a fourth or fifth quest does not pay it again.
Multiple bases
If you own more than one base, quest progress and claims are tracked per base. The board shows the progress of the base you are currently viewing, so a raid launched from one base does not advance the quests of another.

Weekly quests
One of these is live each week; all pay 100 Shards.
| Quest | Target |
|---|---|
| Earn 8 stars | 8 |
| Win 10 raids | 10 |
| Steal 5,000 Shards | 5,000 |
| Clear 5 Campaign stages | 5 |

Campaign rewards
The campaign has its own one-time Shard rewards: the first time you earn 3★ on a stage you receive a bonus that grows with the stage's Keep band, from 400 Shards in the first band to 10,000 in the last. Campaign stages also tick the campaign quests above. See Campaign and PvE for the full table.
Referrals
Your referral code is shown on your Profile, together with a share link of the form https://play.pixelkingdomwars.com/?ref=KEEP-XXXXX. The code is minted the first time you open that screen and stays with your account.
What your friend gets
A friend who opens your link (or types your KEEP-… code into the single code box at the playtest gate) is admitted to the playtest. That is the invitee's reward: a seat in the playtest. There is no mining or Shard bonus for the invited player in the current version.
- One code can admit at most 25 wallets to the playtest.
- A wallet that was removed from the playtest cannot re-admit itself with a referral link.
- A player can have only one referrer, and you cannot refer yourself.
What you get
Each qualified and active referral adds +0.5% to your mining quota. The bonuses stack additively with no cap at playtest scale.
A referral qualifies once your friend:
- owns an active, paid Land Deed, and
- has that base's Keep at level 3 or higher.
Qualification is checked by an hourly job and is sticky. The bonus then counts only while the friend is active: seen in the game within the last 7 days and still holding an active paid deed. If they go quiet, your bonus from them pauses; when they return, it resumes.
Why the qualification gate: the inviter's bonus is tied to the friend actually settling in (land plus a Keep 3 base) rather than to a wallet that signs in once. That keeps the bonus meaningful and hard to farm.
The 14-day window
A referral relationship can only be recorded within 14 days of the referee's account creation. After that the code still admits them to the playtest, but the relationship is not recorded and they will never count toward your bonus. If you arrived through a link, the code is remembered and redeemed automatically when you pass the playtest gate; you can also enter a code later on your Profile under ENTER REFERRAL CODE → USE, as long as you are inside the window.
Referral links, like clan membership, stay with your wallet if you sell a deed.
In-game mail

The MAIL inbox is private to your wallet. Messages come only from the game (system) or from admins; there is no player-to-player mail.
- Info mail carries text only.
- Reward mail carries 1–3 attachments: KEEP, Shards, or a small number of approved consumables (at most 10 of a consumable per mail). Attachments are held in escrow from the moment the mail is sent.
- Rewards are claimed with the CLAIM button. KEEP goes to your wallet balance; Shards and items go to a base you choose, so the game asks for a base when you claim those.
- Reward mail expires 30 days after delivery. The escrowed attachments are released and can no longer be claimed.
- You can mark mail read, archive it, and page through archived mail.
Mails that exist today include the playtest welcome letter sent when you found your first base, and a base-skin refund notice when one applies. Whether new mail is delivered at all is an operations switch, so treat the inbox as a place where you may receive system or admin messages rather than a guaranteed schedule.
Any KEEP in a reward mail is devnet KEEP: test-net tokens with no real-world value.
Global chat

There is one global chat channel. There is no clan chat and no direct messages; the project uses Discord for that.
Reading: anyone signed in and admitted to the playtest can read. The chat launcher appears on the base, build and map screens.
Posting requires all of the following:
- a chosen username (see Profile below),
- an active, owned, paid Land Deed,
- not being muted,
- chat being switched on (admins can turn it off at runtime in an emergency).
Why the deed requirement: tying posting to land ownership means a spammer has to buy a deed per wallet, which keeps the single global channel usable at playtest scale.
Message rules
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Maximum length | 280 characters (and at most 1,024 bytes) |
| Maximum lines | 4 |
| Not allowed | URLs, markup/markdown, control characters |
| Cooldown between sends | 5 seconds |
| Sends per hour per wallet | 20 |
| Visible for | 7 days |
Moderation tools: you can block an author and report a message with a reason (spam, harassment, hate, sexual, personal info, other), up to 10 reports per day. Admins review the report queue, can redact messages, and can mute a wallet for 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or permanently. Report evidence is kept for 90 days even after the message itself expires.
Each message shows the author's name, avatar, and a Seeker-verified badge where applicable.
Clans
Clans are not available yet. The in-game CLANS screen says: "CLANS — COMING SOON. Clan warfare arrives as a major update after playtest. Existing clans and their weekly chests are preserved."
What that means in practice:
- Founding and joining are refused right now. The code for clans exists (a 5,000-Shard founding cost, a 20-member roster, names and tags, open or invite-only modes), but none of that is usable until clans are switched on after the playtest.
- The screen shows a read-only FOUNDING CLANS list, ranked by the combined trophies of members. Viewing it requires owning land.
- Any clans founded before the freeze keep their roster; their members can still leave or be kicked by the leader.
- The weekly clan chest is not currently accruing from raids. The on-screen text about a 2% cut of raid loot describes the old raid path, not the current one. Treat the chest as preserved but frozen.
- The Clan Hall building exists as a destructible 2×2 structure, but clan membership is account-level; building a Clan Hall does not put you in a clan.
- Clan membership stays with your wallet if you sell a deed.
Profile: usernames and avatars

Your Profile is where you set your identity, and it is also where you find your referral code and your league.
Usernames
- 3–16 characters: letters, digits,
_and-; must start and end with a letter or digit. No spaces, no dots (dots are reserved for verified.skrnames). - Names are unique, case-insensitively. A list of reserved words (admin, moderator, support, system, official, seeker, solana and similar) is refused.
- You can change your name once every 30 days. Re-saving the same name does not use the cooldown.
- New accounts start with no name. You need one before you can post in chat.
- Seekers who hold a verified
.skrdomain can adopt it as their username (up to 24 characters). Adoption skips the cooldown but never overwrites a name you already chose.
Avatars
- Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MiB. The server re-encodes it to a 256×256 WebP; your original is never stored.
- Your avatar appears on your deed marker on the globe, next to your chat messages, and on your profile.
- Replacing or deleting an avatar never leaves a broken image: the old one stays visible until the new write succeeds.
Leagues and leaderboards
Your profile header shows your Keep level and your league, which is set by trophies:
| League | Trophies |
|---|---|
| Bronze | 0+ |
| Silver | 400+ |
| Gold | 800+ |
| Sol | 1,200+ |
Leagues are recomputed every Monday at 00:15 UTC. Only active, paid, deed-minted bases are ranked, and a league place belongs to the deed rather than to the wallet.
Prizes: when the weekly league pool holds KEEP, it is split 60% to Sol and 40% to Gold, shared equally within each tier; Bronze and Silver receive nothing, and an empty tier's share stays in the pool. Note that in the current code the pool is not being refilled by raid activity, so weekly prizes may be zero. Any prize paid is devnet KEEP with no real-world value.
Leaderboards: there is no general trophy leaderboard inside the game right now. Trophy ordering appears only in the World Map player search (land owners, top 10) and in the clan list. The separate TESTER leaderboard ranks playtesters by milestone and feedback points, not trophies; see Playtest and the tester program.
Notifications
Under Profile → NOTIFICATIONS, pressing ENABLE asks your browser for notification permission. Once granted, the game shows "UPGRADE COMPLETE" or "CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE — your builder is free." when a builder job finishes while the tab is open but hidden. There is no server push: nothing is sent when the app is fully closed, and there are no raid, mail or chat notifications yet.
