Two more special islands join Seeker Island in the seas around the realms. Solana Island holds crafting workshops that players run for each other, and the Divine Isle holds solo trials and clan citadels won through fair competition. Both are PLANNED for a later stage of onchain gameplay. This page explains the design so far and says plainly what is still to be decided.

Onchain gameplay is in development on devnet; dates will be announced. The in-game screens for these islands are still being built; the diagrams on this page are composed from the art made for them.

Special sites are temporary rights

Every special site is a right you hold for a term, not land you own:

  • Never a Land Deed and never an NFT. A site doesn't become yours for good, and there is no deed for it — not even for a clan.
  • Your base stays put. Holding a site never moves or relocates your base.
  • Won in play, not bought. Solana Island workshops and Divine Isle sites can't be bought. Seeker Island spots are won in an auction.
  • How many at once. Solana Island workshop licences are limited per player, and more can't be bought. Several Seeker spots are fine. The rules for the Divine Isle will be announced.

Fig. 2Every special site is drawn in four looks, and each island's sites share one design. The active column plays the working loop. Delivered asset-package frames, not regenerated; the in-game look may still change.

Solana Island: crafting workshops

Solana Island is three crystal terraces off the western shore of Solana Reach, with an observatory, a mint forest and a pale harbour. Its workshops craft vehicle NFTs as a service: a player who holds a workshop licence runs crafting jobs for other players. A public crafting queue is always open alongside them, so nobody ever depends on a workshop holder.

Getting a workshop licence

  1. Qualify through your own play. You can't buy a workshop.
  2. Enter a transparent draw among the players who qualified.
  3. Run your workshop. Licences are limited per player.
  4. The term ends. You stop taking new jobs; how finished jobs settle will be announced.

The qualification rules, how the draw works, how long a licence lasts and how many jobs a workshop can take will be announced with the feature.

A workshop or the public queue

Two doors to one craft: a player workshop run by a licence holder and the always-open public queue both lead to the same recipes, the same odds and the same 0.05 SOL fee per attempt, and to the vehicle family and tier you chose
Fig. 3Where you craft only decides who runs the job. The Survey Balloon is one example of a vehicle NFT.
  • Same recipes, same odds. A player's workshop gives you no better chance than the public queue.
  • Same fee. Every attempt costs the 0.05 SOL app fee, success or not, at a workshop or at the public queue. The public queue adds no extra fee. Network, account and random-draw costs are shown separately before you sign.
  • Who gets the fee. A workshop holder is planned to receive a share of each attempt they run, and the public-queue fee to go to the team. The split will be announced.
  • No passive payout. A licence is planned to pay nothing by itself: a holder would receive a share only for jobs they actually run.
  • You choose the vehicle. You pick the family and the exact tier before you pay. See Crafting.

The Divine Isle: solo trials and clan citadels

The Divine Isle on the Realms Globe: two island lobes split by a turquoise rift, a ring of pillars and a temple on the west lobe and a castle on the east lobe
Fig. 4The Divine Isle stands alone in the Central Sea. The temple ring of the solo trials is in the west, the castle of the clan citadels in the east. A HUD-free still of the Realms Globe art.
Two flows. West, solo trials: the same army for everyone and a limited number of scored tries; the best results hold an area for a term. East, clan citadels: the roster is locked, a clan tournament is fought, the winners hold a citadel for a term and Crystal Fragments go to the members who took part
Fig. 5How the two halves of the Divine Isle are won. Delivered asset-package site art; the in-game look may still change.

Solo trials (west)

  • One standard army for everyone. Every player fights with the same forces, so results come from play, not from the size of your kingdom.
  • A limited number of scored attempts count for each player.
  • The best results hold an area for a limited term.
  • Nothing paid adds a try. Nothing you pay for, extra raid energy included, adds scored attempts, and an area can't be bought.
  • Renown to enter. In the version being tested, entering needs Renown from at least one KEEP mining day, with or without a Land Deed.
  • Scoring, schedules and the length of a term will be announced.

Clan citadels (east)

  • Clans enter tournaments for the citadels. A clan's roster is locked when it enters.
  • Leadership waits. While its clan is in a tournament, a Clan Charter can't change hands until the tournament ends.
  • The winners hold a citadel for a limited term.
  • Rewards go to the members who took part, never to a leader's private purse. Prizes are planned to include things like Crystal Fragments and refined materials; exact prizes will be announced. There is no clan deed.
  • Clan citadels need clans, which are coming soon in the game. Tournament rules and the length of a term will be announced.

Rewards

Clan citadel prizes are planned to include things like Crystal Fragments, a rare crafting material, and refined materials; exact prizes will be announced. Every fragment, wherever it comes from, is drawn from one shared, limited budget, so the Divine Isle never adds fragments beyond it. Other rewards, and what solo trials award, will be announced.

Where to find the islands today

Solana Island, Seeker Island and the Divine Isle are already on the Realms Globe, in the browser and in the Android app. Tap one to open its panel, which marks it as coming soon. The island maps open with onchain gameplay.

FAQ

Can I buy a Solana Island workshop?

No. Licences go to players who qualify through their own play, by a transparent draw, and each player can hold only a limited number.

Do I get better odds at a player's workshop?

No. Workshops and the public queue use the same recipes, the same odds and the same fee.

Do I need a workshop holder to craft a vehicle?

No. The public crafting queue is always open.

Can I buy my way onto the Divine Isle?

No. Areas and citadels are won in play, and nothing you pay for adds scored attempts.

Are special sites Land Deeds?

No. They are temporary rights for a term. They never move your base and are never NFTs.

How many sites does each island have?

Seeker Island has 100 spots; see Seeker Island. The island panels in the Android app show the planned counts for Solana Island and the Divine Isle; the final numbers will be confirmed when each island opens.

When do these islands open?

Seeker Island comes with onchain gameplay; Solana Island and the Divine Isle follow later. Dates will be announced.
