KEEP mining is how onchain gameplay pays real KEEP: each day a funded pool is shared among the players who committed Forge Ingots at their Gold Forge, and you claim your share straight to your wallet. Your share follows how you actually play — recent activity, useful onchain actions, your base's progress and what you contributed — so an idle, maxed base receives nothing.

Onchain gameplay is in development on devnet; dates will be announced.

Three names, three things

TermWhat it means
Gold ForgeThe building on your base. It stays; from the update it takes Forge Ingots instead of SHARDS.
Forging KEEPThe process: committing ingots to the Gold Forge during a day.
KEEP miningThe rewards screen where settled allocations appear and you claim them to your wallet.

"Mint" is used only for NFTs. Nobody mints KEEP by playing; the pool is funded in advance and shared.

The locked numbers

These numbers are fixed for launch; the score formula, decay, the mining floor and the claim delay are still being tuned on devnet.

WhatLocked for launch
Daily poolup to 98,000 KEEP per day, gross (before the island tax) — a ceiling, not a promise; budget that is not allocated stays undistributed
Two pools5% to wallets without a Land Deed · 95% to Land Deed owners
Free capacityup to 2 ingots per wallet per day, shared across its free bases
Weight boostsSeeker-linked wallet +10% · Genesis Land Deed base +20% · both +30%
Score kept after you stop playing48 hours
Claimsstraight to your wallet — no claim fee, no minimum, never expire; you pay only the Solana network and account costs
Tax on newly mined KEEP80% to you · 10% to the Seeker Island pool · 10% back to future mining · 0% to the team

A day of KEEP mining

  1. Cast ingots at your Workshop: 10,000 SHARDS each.
  2. Commit them at the Gold Forge during the UTC day. Committed ingots are protected from raids and cannot be taken back; they are used up when the day settles.
  3. The day settles. The pool is divided by each player's score for the day. Your score reflects:
    • your recent activity and experience (EXP) in the game,
    • useful onchain actions,
    • each base's progress,
    • what you actually contributed that day.
  4. Claim. Your allocation appears in KEEP mining. Claim it whenever you like — today, next week or next year.

Your score keeps you in the race

Your mining score is kept for 48 hours after you stop playing, so a missed day does not reset you. After that it fades gradually. The exact formula, how quickly it fades and the minimum participation for a pool are still being tuned on devnet.

Weight boosts

Boosts add weight to your score; they do not add a fixed amount of KEEP.

You haveWeight
A Seeker-linked wallet+10%
A base on a Genesis Land Deed+20%
Both+30% (added, not multiplied)

Bases and pools

  • A wallet can have up to 5 active bases. Switching between them is free; replacing a base in the active roster costs 0.1 SOL.
  • A wallet can own up to 2 free bases (bases without a Land Deed). The second costs 100,000 SHARDS once the first is developed; the exact unlock requirements are still being tuned.
  • Free bases share the free pool (5%) and the wallet's 2 ingots per day. Land Deed bases share the deed pool (95%) with more capacity per base.
  • There is no fixed cap on how much KEEP one wallet can claim.

Taxes, in plain words

Taxes apply once, only to newly gathered resources and newly mined KEEP, and the team takes nothing:

Newly gathered resources and SHARDS80%20%—0%
Newly mined KEEP80%10%10%0%

A KEEP market sale pays no earnings tax either: it pays the seller 90% and burns 10%, with nothing to the island pool or the team, and buying ingots never raises how many you can commit. See Market and trading.

Campaign rewards, quest rewards, daily bonuses, mail rewards and Gems are tax-free. The island pool is shared among the Seeker Island spots that won that term — see Seeker Island and special sites.

What happens to today's Gold Forge

  • Today the Gold Forge takes SHARDS and pays in-game KEEP each UTC day. See Gold Forge.
  • With onchain gameplay it takes Forge Ingots instead. The last day of the old Forge is planned to line up with the first day of KEEP mining, so contributing players see no gap.
  • Your Gold Forge building, its level and its place on your base stay.
