With onchain gameplay your kingdom holds far more than today's backpack: eight realm resources and the materials refined from them, kits, Forge Ingots, Crystal Fragments, Gems and vehicle NFTs. This page is the map. For each one it shows what it is, where it's kept, whether a raid can take it, and whether you can trade it.

Onchain gameplay is in development on devnet; dates will be announced. The in-game screens for the new inventory are still being built; the diagrams on this page are composed from the art made for it. For the items in the game today (consumables, hero gear, writs and contracts), see Items, gear and inventory.

Five zones. Raidable: raw resources, 1% of each only if a raid destroys the Keep, and SHARDS as today. Protected: refined materials, kits and Crystal Fragments, never raid loot. Backpack: items, and Forge Ingots at zero weight, never raid loot. Your account: Gems, one balance for all your bases; cosmetics planned. Your wallet: KEEP, vehicle NFTs, Land Deeds, SOL and SKR, never raid loot

At a glance

  • Four currencies: SOL, SKR, KEEP and Gems. Everything else is a resource, a material, an item or an NFT.
  • Raw resources live in your Keep. A raid takes 1% of each, and only if it destroys the Keep.
  • Everything you refine or craft is safe from raids. Refined materials, kits, Forge Ingots and Crystal Fragments are never raid loot.
  • Gems belong to your account, shared by all your bases. KEEP, SOL, SKR and NFTs stay in your wallet.
  • Trading: resources, materials, kits, fragments, ingots and tradeable items are planned to trade for KEEP on a market for Land Deed holders only. NFTs trade in SOL. Gems, and items bought with Gems, never trade.
  • Nothing you own today is lost. Every item carries over, and in-game KEEP becomes Gems 1:1.

Where everything lives

Your Keep: raw resources

Each realm has one raw resource. Your Realm Harvester produces the resource of the realm your base stands in, and expeditions bring back more. Everything they gather arrives in the base that sent them, with no bag to empty and no extra step.

RealmRawSource
Crownlands Crown Iron Orea Harvester in Crownlands, or expeditions
Frostveil Frost Quartza Harvester in Frostveil, or expeditions
Elderwood Heartwood Logsa Harvester in Elderwood, or expeditions
Sunscar Sunstone Rubblea Harvester in Sunscar, or expeditions
Cinderfall Ember Nodulesa Harvester in Cinderfall, or expeditions
Thornwake Thorn Fibrea Harvester in Thornwake, or expeditions
Stormcairn Storm Orea Harvester in Stormcairn, or expeditions
Solana Reach Rough Prismexpeditions (Solana Reach bases open later)
  • No purchase is ever needed to gather. Every base keeps a free starter boat and useful routes to the common resources. See Expeditions and vehicles.
  • Newly gathered resources carry the island tax: you keep 80% and 20% goes to the Seeker Island pool. See Seeker Island.

Protected storage: what you refine or craft

Refined materials, kits and Crystal Fragments are kept apart from your raw stock, and raids never take them. See Crafting for how each is made.

KindContentsSource
Refined materialsCrownsteel, Frostglass, Heartwood Beams, Sunstone Blocks, Embercore, Thornsilk, Stormalloy, Prismstone Lensrefining raw resources at your Workshop
KitsExpedition Kit, Navigation Kit, Climate Kitcombining refined materials at your Workshop
Crystal Fragmentsa rare resource from one shared, limited supplysometimes a failed vehicle craft; Divine Isle rewards; clan prizes
  • What Crystal Fragments are used for will be announced.

Your backpack: items

Consumables, hero gear, training writs and hero contracts stay in each base's backpack, exactly as today.

The inventory with owned items and backpack capacity
Fig. 2The inventory (BAG) today.
  • 160 weight units per base. Equipped gear weighs nothing, and you never lose an item to a full bag.
  • Forge Ingots wait in the backpack after you collect them from the Workshop, at zero weight, so they take no backpack space. Each is cast from 10,000 SHARDS. They are a material, never an NFT or a token, and never raid loot: not while being cast, not while waiting, not once committed.
  • Items bought from the game with Gems sit in the backpack like any other item, but they can never be listed on a market. How a stack that mixes Gems-bought and other copies is handled will be announced.
  • Full details: Items, gear and inventory.

Your account: Gems and cosmetics

  • Gems are one balance for your whole account, shared by all your bases. They can't be withdrawn, listed, traded, sent or raided, and they never turn back into KEEP. See Gems.
  • Cosmetics (planned) are bound to you: they never trade and they change looks only.

Your wallet: tokens and NFTs

  • KEEP, SOL and SKR are Solana tokens in your own wallet. After the update KEEP lives only in your wallet: KEEP mining pays straight to it, and the planned KEEP market is paid in it.
  • Unused vehicle NFTs wait in your wallet until you install one or trade it.
  • Land Deeds are NFTs in your wallet, one per base. The game's BAG shows them in its DEED tab so you can see them, but they are not stored items.

Can a raid take it?

What a raid can take. SHARDS: raided as today. Raw resources: only if the raid destroys your Keep; for example 1,250 Frost Quartz in the Keep means the attacker takes 12, which is 1% rounded down, and each raw type is counted on its own. Never taken: refined goods, kits, Forge Ingots, Crystal Fragments, Gems, KEEP and NFTs
Fig. 3The raid rules for your inventory. The 1,250 Frost Quartz is an example. Icons from the onchain gameplay asset package; the in-game look may still change.
  • SHARDS can be raided under today's rules. See Raids and loot. With the update the Gold Forge takes Forge Ingots instead of SHARDS, and ingots are never raid loot.
  • Raw resources are exposed only when a raid destroys your Keep. Then the attacker takes 1% of each raw resource, rounded down separately for each.
  • Listing doesn't hide raw resources. Units listed for sale stay in your Keep and still count until the sale settles. Raw resources put into a refining job are used up when the job starts.
  • Everything else is never raid loot: refined materials, kits, Forge Ingots, Crystal Fragments, backpack items, Gems, KEEP and every NFT.
  • A vehicle's berth is an ordinary raid target. Raid damage is temporary: the vehicle is never lost, nothing needs repairing and no expeditions are used up.

Can you trade it?

  • The KEEP market (planned): one market with two tabs, Resources and Items. Raw and refined realm resources, kits, Crystal Fragments, Forge Ingots and tradeable items trade for KEEP from your wallet. The seller receives 90% and 10% is burned.
  • Land Deed holders only. Only players who own a Land Deed can list or buy on the KEEP market, the same as today's market.
  • Today's SOL item market keeps running alongside it.
  • NFTs trade in SOL on NFT marketplaces: Land Deeds and unused vehicle NFTs, each with a 5% creator royalty.
  • Never traded: Gems, items bought from the game with Gems, installed vehicles, realm permits and cosmetics. SHARDS are not on the KEEP market's list.

The full rules, with a worked example, are on Market and trading.

When a Land Deed changes hands

Three columns. Goes with the base: SHARDS, raw and refined resources, kits, Forge Ingots, backpack items and installed vehicles. Stays with you: Gems, troop unlocks and cosmetics. Stays in your wallet: KEEP, SOL, SKR and unused vehicle NFTs
Fig. 4What moves with a sold Land Deed. Icons from the onchain gameplay asset package; the in-game look may still change.
  • Goes with the base: its SHARDS, raw resources, protected stock, backpack items and installed vehicles, as a base's items do today.
  • Stays with you: your Gems, the troop unlocks from writs you used, your cosmetics, and your EXP and Renown (coming). Your KEEP mining allocations belong to your wallet, too.
  • Stays in your wallet: KEEP, SOL, SKR and any vehicle NFT you haven't installed.

See Land Deeds and realm tiles.

What happens to your items at the update

  • Everything you own carries over as it is: bases, Land Deeds, SHARDS, items, gear, writs and contracts.
  • Items you can trade today stay tradeable. Only copies bought from the game with Gems can't be listed.
  • In-game KEEP becomes Gems 1:1, including KEEP waiting in reward mail and Gold Forge payouts. SHARDS or items in the same mail stay there for you to claim. If you want SPL KEEP in your wallet, withdraw it before the announced date; see What changes for players.
  • Shop prices move to Gems: every price paid in KEEP today is paid in the same number of Gems.
  • Today's SOL item market keeps running when the KEEP market opens.
  • Daily item drops: how they work with KEEP mining will be announced.

See What changes for players.

Planned items

These are designed and follow after the first release of onchain gameplay. Names, effects and recipes may still change, and details will be announced.

  • Expedition equipment. A Survey Lens steers a trip's haul toward a common material you choose, and a Route Compass brings a vehicle home faster with less cargo. Both are made at the Workshop, never wear out and belong to the base. Each expedition has one fitting slot.
  • Expedition relics. The Stormwarden Relic protects ordinary cargo on hazardous routes, and the Voyager Keepsake lets you pick which common resource a trip focuses on. Both are NFTs that stay in your wallet and are never used up. Neither opens new routes or adds rewards.
  • Cosmetics. An Artisan Market Awning for your Market and an Aurora Wake trail behind your vehicles are crafted with materials, bound to your account, and change looks only.
  • Clan Charter. An NFT that carries a clan's leadership. See Clan Charter.
